Spanish plumbing association honors Mario

Spain's largest plumber organization ASEFOSAM has officially given honorary membership to Mario (Super Mario Bros.) with the coveted honor thanks to his contributions to the betterment of the image of plumbers around the world. One member of the prestigious organization wasn't quoted as saying,

"It's been an uphill battle for the image of plumbers, for sure, thanks in large part to the use of our profession as an adult film trope for many, many years. But thanks to Mario, plumbers have finally been recognized as something more than the hyper-sexual and muscular figures we so often are."
